Hi guys! If you’re wondering about the title, here’s what happened. I stared at the blinking cursor in the title box for far longer than I’m willing to admit, and the only thing I could come up with was “Coming Soon!” To anyone else that wouldn’t have been a big deal, but to someone who has the mind of a fifteen year old boy, it made me giggle-snort.
For this very reason, I expressed my concerns to friends about having my own website. They told me I’d be fine, encouraged me even. Clearly they wanted this train wreck to happen so they could have a good laugh. I hope they pee in their pants.
Anyway, for those of you who don’t know me and are actually reading this post, I wanted to take a second to introduce myself.
Hi.
Phew, I’m glad that’s over. Just kidding!! I’m Olivia, but most of my friends call me Liv or Livie. I answer to both. Vanilla is my favorite flavor of ice cream, but because I’m not normal, I eat it with Fritos Scoops. I also lack a verbal filter, everything I’ve written so far is proof of that. When I’m not putting my foot in my mouth, I’m listing to music or diving into the black hole that is Buzzfeed. I waste so much time taking ridiculous quizzes about ridiculous things, but how else would I know which Pitch Perfect character I am?? It’s the little things, you know? I’m Chloe, by the way.
On a more serious note, please don’t expect this to last long, I thought I’d share some other things about me. Oscar Wilde was my soul mate in another life. I could spend all day reading anything and everything by him. His quotes cover every single mood and feeling I’ve ever experienced.
I love horror books. There’s something about that rush of adrenaline when your eyes are wide, your heart is pounding, and every little thing makes you jump ten feet in the air. That being said, I love to fall in love with characters. There is nothing more satisfying than reading about flawed characters finding their way to redemption. May it be a hero winning a battle in a fantasy novel, or a broken guy falling in love and becoming whole. I love the journey.
Hollywood & Vine is my first venture at publishing. I’m so nervous there are times I can’t breathe if I think about it too long. I’ve been very fortunate to be surrounded by a group of amazing people who have gone above and beyond to help me find my way. I still stumble, but I’m slowly finding my footing. On December 15, the ebook for Hollywood and Vine will be live. I’m hoping to have the paperback copy available on that date as well, but that’s not 100% set in stone. I’ll post more information about that later. For now, this is me saying hello. So hello. I’m going to end this post now before it become ridiculous…er.
Until next time!
xoxo
~Liv
